1185-1205 WEST BROAD BLOCK VISIONING
Block visioning for the South side of West Broad between South Yale Avenue and West Park Avenue included minimal façade renovations to update four of the five buildings on this block. Façade renovations proposed aesthetic updates such as painting, brick restoration, business signage and lighting. This visioning sought to tie all the buildings together with a unifying graphic window treatment. The design for the window graphics would be applied as a decorative element on each of the windows and doors for every building. New signage proposed modern options among blade signs, painted signs, and channel letter signs, while gooseneck lamps would add much needed lighting to the block as well as an additional cohesive style element. The parking lot in the middle of the block holds potential for a future park or public space, so this same graphic that is applied to the storefronts could be applied to the pavement or in other ways to design that interstitial space.
