Sidecar, a local interior design firm, is partnering with Compton Construction to create a mixed-use commercial and residential development in addition to relocating their offices. Sidecar plans to build a concept of a shared green space between the two buildings to be utilized by the multiple businesses and facilities in the development. The development is planned to be anchored by a restaurant/bar space in an old automotive repair garage on the site. The design work by the NDC proposed interior space planning and design concepts to supplement the client’s ideas for the restaurant. The proposal also included preliminary zoning assessments to determine parking and design requirements for the entire site. The development is intended to be a destination and gathering space for multiple uses.
